Camp Earl Wallace

Thank goodness, Taylor is back from Camp. She has spent the past week at Camp Earl Wallace here in Kentucky that is sponsored and put on by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. Talking about things being weird, it's crazy only to have one kid for the week. And sissy was spoiled all week long

Taylor decided earlier in the year that she wanted to tryout camp after a conservation officer visited her school and show cased the camp. Sounds like she had a blast.

She passed her swim test and was allowed to swim in the lake and wasn't confined to the swimming pool. She got to shoot .22 rifles, shotguns, archery, hiking, boating and did nature walks. It's amazing just how much they do at camp. When I asked if she missed us she said "not really" which broke my heart. Personally, I was ready for her to come home by Tuesday but I'm super excited to know that she can leave the nest and not worry about home.

Only one full week of summer break is left. School starts back on August 10th here in Bullitt County and thanks to my gorgeous wife the school supplies have already been purchased. Sounds like we better get busy enjoying the summer break as we still have Kings Island to visit and a few more days at the pool.
