Geeeeez, I now know why I never had any interest in moving. After having the house on the market for something like 6-7 months we decided to rent ours. Not once in the 6-7 months did we ever get an offer however, rented it in 3 days. I told Jamie we have either made the best decision or the worst of ones and only time would tell. So for the time being we are chilling at "papaws" (Jamies Dads) while we go through the process of buying the new HOME....
The New Home; Located in Mt.Washington and just a stones throw from Dads. Much larger and newer and we hope to enjoy the new house as much as we did the last one. We were fortunate to rent to people we know with hopes to reduce the drama associated with renting. So we shall see.....Thanks to all the democrats for the horrible housing market ( I know, I know blame BUSH, LOL) and post September 11, 2001 knee jerking buying a home now is a pain in the arse.
Girls are doing great and getting ready to start school. Tay is in the 4th grade and Sissy the 3rd. They will be starting school @ Blake and moving later this semester. Dad is doing well since the last stroke and Cheryl is still growing the best green beans in town.
I entered the world of EMS yet again back in January. I'm working part time at Hardin County EMS. It has been really nice getting back to the EMS roots although, it has reaffirmed my decision to enter into the Fire Service verses the latter. The EMS system is full of great and caring people but rode like broke mules. The public has a hard time deciding what really constitutes an emergency. Hardin County has been a wonderful place to see things I have never experienced and full of folks to teach dumb firemen like myself.
I have the intentions of keeping up with the blog more and more and will try yet again to bring us back to the place we once were.
